Harry took the spotlight at approximately 9.30pm and spoke of his impressions of the couple's long-term romance, although a joke about 'Kate's killer legs' is reported to have been excluded at the last minute.
He performed an impersonation of the pair, showing how his brother refers to his new wife as 'baby' and she labels him 'Billy'.
Several guests remarked on how warm and affectionate the speech was and Kate was slightly emotional as Harry described her relationship with the second in line to the throne as 'inspirational'.
A source told the newspaper: 'Harry said William was the perfect brother. It was exactly how you would expect a best man's speech to be. He cracked loads of jokes about William. He called him a 'dude' several times. He kept coming back to it, saying 'What a dude'.'
Kate and William have spent a weekend in a secluded and secret spot in the UK and will take a honeymoon at a later date.
